This Privacy Policy describes what Dragon Development (“we”, “us”) collects through Plenty of Gamers™ (“the Service”) and how it is used. Dragon Development operates the Service.
1. Information we collect
- Account data: email, display name, password hash (or Discord account identifiers if you sign in with Discord), date of birth / age verification flag.
- Location: home city and province for Discover proximity. Optional one-time GPS during onboarding snaps to the nearest supported city — we do not store your coordinates.
- Profile data: display name, profile photo, platforms, favorite games, activities, home city and province, bio, looking-for preferences, optional gender/age display settings, Steam link status.
- Game data: Steam persona name, SteamID, owned games, and playtime hours when you link Steam (subject to your Steam privacy settings). Steam and related marks are trademarks of Valve Corporation; game data is obtained via Steam Web APIs.
- Usage data: likes/passes, matches, messages, reports, blocks, shop entitlement state.
- Technical data: session cookies and basic server logs needed to run authentication and prevent abuse.
2. How we use information
- Provide matching, messaging, and profile features
- Sync Steam library and playtime when you connect Steam
- Enforce age, safety, and Acceptable Use rules
- Automatically scan profile photos for safety before they are stored (see Sharing below)
- Process entitlements (Premium, boosts, Super Likes)
- Improve the Service and debug issues
3. Sharing
Other users see the profile fields you choose to show (and match chat content you send). We do not sell personal data. We may share data with infrastructure providers (hosting, authentication, photo storage, and payment processors) solely to operate the Service, or when required by law / to address abuse. Steam linkage uses Valve’s OpenID and Web APIs under Valve’s terms.
Profile photos: when you upload a profile photo, we send the image to Sightengine (sightengine.com) for automated safety checks before it is saved. Sightengine analyzes the image for categories such as nudity, violence, weapons, estimated age (to block photos of minors), and whether exactly one face is present. Rejected photos are not stored. Sightengine processes images as our service provider under their terms and privacy policy.
4. Retention
We retain account and message data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for safety, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. You may delete your account from profile settings; some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate business purposes.
5. Security
We use reasonable technical measures (hashed passwords, session auth), but no system is perfectly secure. Do not reuse passwords across sites.
6. Children
The Service is 18+ only. We do not knowingly allow under-18 accounts.
7. Changes
We may update this Policy and bump the version stamp. Material changes may require re-acceptance.
